JetBlue on its way to Brazil? Unfortunately, not quite yet
A few days ago a reader of our Aquela Passagem sent us an intriguing question. If you search for South American destinations at JetBlue’s website you will find cities like São Paulo, Río de Janeiro or Buenos Aires.
Is the US low-cost planning a grand international expansion? Unfortunately it would seem that is not the case. JetBlue and American Airlines signed last year an agreement to share flights and associate their frequent-flyer programs. The results of that agreement are now being seen on their websites. As a result, JetBlue can sell some of American South American destinations whereas American can sell some of the US destinations served by JetBlue.
Who knows if one day we won’t see JetBlue arriving in Brazil with their own flights? There is certainly plent of room for new proposals on the US – Brazil route.
