Air Asia: dreaming is free
We flew with Air Asia between Singapore and Bangkok. Nearly two hours of flight in some of the most uncomfortable seats ever; but we can’t complain, the fares we paid were some of the cheapest ever too.
At the beginning of the year Air Asia, and its long-distance arm, Air Asia X, launched a promotion including national and internacional flights. Very much in the fashion of European low-cost airlines, with flights from 3USD (alright, to that amount you have to add taxes and excess luggage).
Prices and promotions like the one mentioned here are frequently offered by other European and American airlines. Our aim here at this blog post is to show that there are indeed low-cost airlines that behave like low-fare airlines too.
In the meantime, in Brazil we have low-cost airlines that would like to be low-fare lines but have abandoned all the features of the low-fare airlines (minus the uncomfortable seats). One day we will see low fares in Brazil, but the wait is going to be long, and the airlines will appeal to the judiciary to bar any fall in fares.
