Azul begins selling tickets and launches frequenty flyer program
Azul has already made its promotional flights for the media bunch. As you can read on an article published at the Portal Terra (in Portuguese), you’ll be able to stuff yourself on chips and crackers.
The first routes flown by the company will be Campinas (São Paulo) – Salvador (one way from R$219) and Campinas – Porto Alegre (one way from R$159). Flights begin on 15 December.
On 15 January 2008 a couple more routes will begin, Campinas – Curitiba (one way from R$129) and Campinas – Vitoria (one way from R$149).
Tickets can be purchased at the Azul website.
The airline launched its frequenty flyer program, called Todo Azul. It is based on credits. Every time a purchase is made, the customer accumulates 5% of its value. Once you have a minimum of R$50, you can use it for your next purchase. In practice, if you fly 20 times, you win a ticket for the same leg.
Our best wishes to Azul, we hope it brings a healthier competition to the Brazilian market, and develops a commercial strategy that has as its cornerstone respect for the customer.
