Continental and US Airways en route to Rio de Janeiro
Continental has just been authorized to fly from New Orleans / Houston to Rio de Janeiro. The flight will begin in June with a B767.
US Airways has been allowed to fly the route Philadelphia / Charlotte / Rio de Janeiro. Yet another Star Alliance company arriving in Brazil (Continental will join the Alliance this year too). Flights begin on the second half of 2009.
Competition on the flights to the States is about to increase. As soon as we heard what the initial fare for those routes will be we’ll let you know here.
