El Al to cease its flights to Brazil
After two years and a half flying to Brazil, Israel’s El Al announces it is cancelling its Tel Aviv – São Paulo flight from 10 November 2011.
The reasons for this decision are high fuel costs and the cost associated to the company’s stringent security measures and special food needs (kosher). The airline has faced competition from European airlines that fly from their hubs in Europe to Tel Aviv in code-share flights with El Al.
It is a pity to see that route go.
