more flights from the United States to Brazil
American Airlines, currently operating 65 weekly flights to Brazil, has requested from the US Department of Transportation 10 new frequencies to Brazil. The company plans to fly from Miami to Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Manaus.
From 15 December 2011 there will be a daily flight from Miami to Belo Horizonte. On the same date Brasilia will win a daily flight too. And from 14 June 2012 Manaus will get four weekly flights from the company, a new destination for American.
Delta has also made an official request to operate a daily flight between Atlanta and Manaus (a destination it served in the past). As well as two flights between Detroit and São Paulo (both cities will be connected by a daily flight).
