several flight deals from Brazil

What with oil prices falling several airlines have reduced their fuel taxes. To attempt to control a fall in demand, those companies are launching some seasonal promotions. The prices quoted here are for flights leaving from Brazil and are expressed in US dollars – taxes excluded.

AIR FRANCE

Announces deals to several destinations in Europe, prices from 888 USD leaving from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Paris for 939 USD. Purchases until 8 December for flights between 9 December and 22 January – reserve class V or T. Always remember to read the full rules before purchasing any tickets!

AMERICAN AIRLINES

An airline committed to Brazil (in spite of some of the old aircraft it uses) AA has good deals on its website. From São Paulo, fares from 915 USD to Boston, 1015 to New York and 1013 to San Francisco. Purchases until 12 December for flights before 31 January 2009. From Rio, the fares are 991, 977 and 985, respectively. There are other good deals from Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Recife, but for purchases until the end of today. Always remember to read the full rules before purchasing any tickets!

LAN

It has promotional prices for flights from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to some internacional destinations. Valid for flights from 1 December 2008 till 6 February 2009 – that is, during the Brazilian holiday season.

From flights leaving from São Paulo there are fares from 283 USD to Buenos Aires, 431 USD to Santiago, 528 USD to Lima and 1825 USD to Sydney.

LUFTHANSA

It has a series of promotional prices at its website. The most interesting ones are for purchases until 5 December and for flights leaving from 22 December 2008 till 02 January 2009 and returning before 6 February 2009. Fares from 888 USD to Zurich and Milan, 939 USD to Berlin and 1078 USD to Tel Aviv.

TAP

On its website it announces tickets from 908 USD to Portugal and 869 to France and Italy. Unfortunately, on its Brazilian website there is no trace of the tariff rules. TAP, how about publishing them? A good airline deserves a good and transparent website. It would seem from 9 December the tariffs go up to 944 USD.
