TAM initiates proceedings to join the Star Alliance
Tam was formally invited to join the Star Alliance. Between 12 and 18 months will have to pass before the Brazilian airline is fully integrated with the other members of the alliance. Tam wants the Star Alliance operations to be based at Guarulhos airport in São Paulo.
In the meantime, Tam put and end to its alliance with Air France and Air Canada. On the waiting list, Swiss and BMI.
